Frequently Asked Questions

We know planning a wedding can be stressful. For this reason we have put together a list of some of our frequently asked questions to help you and your partner find the perfect wedding DJ. If you have additional questions, we’re here to help.

Do you travel?

Absolutely. We do charge $.50 per mile. We also charge for hotel accommodations for services provided 80 miles or more outside of Marshall, Minnesota.

How much is your deposit?

To secure your special day, we charge a nonrefundable $500 deposit that will go towards the total cost of your event.

How long will you hold our date for?

We will hold your date for 2 weeks after the contract and proposal have been sent.

How far out do you book weddings?

We are currently taking bookings two years in advance.

Will we meet before our wedding?

Once we are hired we will be available for any questions, emails or phone calls regarding your wedding 24/7. We will set up a time to meet 30-60 days before your wedding date to go over your wedding reception worksheet and then we will finalize any last minute changes two weeks prior to your big day.

How much would you charge for additional time?

We charge $100 an hour for additional time.

Do you provide wireless microphones?

Absolutely. We bring two wireless microphones and make sure to scan for open frequencies so there is no unwanted feedback. It’s important to us that the guests hear all the announcements and important speeches clearly.

Can I build my own package?

Absolutely, if the packages listed don’t fit the vision of your wedding, you are welcome to build your own package off of our A La Carte list.

Do you act like an emcee and make all the announcements?

We do the emcee work for our events. We make the announcements for all the events happening throughout the evening from your grand entrance to your formal dances to your cake cutting. We also coordinate with you, your venue, and other services to make any other announcements to help the evening flow smoothly.

What type of music do you play?

We establish the type of music you would like played at your wedding when we fill out our wedding worksheet. We play a wide variety of genres; classic rock, modern rock, jazz, new country, old country, pop 2K along with top 40 radio. We also have a do not play list our couples can fill out for songs they don’t want played at their event. We do take music requests during the wedding so all of the guests can request their favorite songs to celebrate too.

What do you typically wear?

Everyone will be dressed formally. Our DJ will be wearing a suit and tie.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured and can provide documentation when requested.

Do you take breaks?

Our goal is to DJ through the whole event without any breaks. We never want to do anything that would kill the dance floor. If we have to step away for a moment we will make sure the energy and music is not interrupted.

Do you provide any other services

Yes, we do offer photo booth services along with enhancements for your wedding reception along with ceremony services.
